Rooted in Innovation
OMI’s story began in 2018, in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael and other catastrophic events that exposed the limits of conventional building systems. Determined to drive change, our founders set out to develop materials that could withstand nature’s toughest tests while improving performance, comfort, and sustainability.
Through extensive research and development, OMI engineered a new generation of building products that go beyond compliance — they set the benchmark for strength and environmental stewardship. At the center of this innovation is our magnesium oxide (MgO) board and Structural Insulated Panel System (SIPS), combining steel framing with expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation and dual MgO layers. This proprietary system provides unmatched fire resistance, superior thermal regulation, and structural integrity that outperforms traditional wood and cement-based alternatives.
